Pricing Policy: Deliveries and General Services
Pricing Policy
All prices contained within this guide are subject to VAT at 17.5%.Product prices are subject to change without notice where Exchange Rate or Land Fill and Environmental Levies dictate. It has been and remains our policy to try to maintain prices for at least 12 months from the date of publication and circulation. We will wherever possible advise customers of price increases but cannot guarantee to inform every one who has acquired or received copies of our Price List and Product Guide. Always ask when ordering materials for the current price.
Delivery Policy
All our deliveries are carried out by independent contractors on the customer's behalf (The customer has the option to organise their own collection and delivery) We will organise and schedule deliveries where possible to arrive at the clients requested drop off point and provide the delivery contractor with all the information provided to us by the client. Normal deliveries are based on three working days (This does not include weekends or public holidays and requests for deliveries must be in writing) unless, specifically requested and agreed upon in advance in writing all deliveries will be by heavy goods vehicles (Excludes Parcel Post) In instances where the delivery company does not have lighter vehicles for delivery of goods, the customer can arrange their own transport. Whilst we will endeavour to arrange deliveries within the stated period at the time of ordering, we do not guarantee delivery at specific times.
Cost of Delivery
The price quoted for delivery at the time of order is fixed, net of VAT and will be clearly shown on our invoice. Where a delivery is attempted and no one is present to receive the goods, the goods may be taken back to the transport depot and a second additional delivery charge may apply. Any additional costs for redelivery will be the recipient's responsibility alone.
Safe Loading & Access
The majority of our goods are heavy and the customer must be present to take receipt of the delivery, have either sufficient labour or equipment that may be required to safely off load materials and to do so in a reasonable time scale. Haulage contractors may apply charges if the vehicle is kept waiting unduly, if this becomes necessary, the customer will be responsible for the additional costs involved. The customer is responsible for the safety of the goods during unloading. The customer must ensure that stable ground conditions; suitable for heavy goods delivery vehicles to safely traverse is available.
Proof of Delivery
Goods must be signed for and the signature clearly legible. Our delivery contractors will not deliver goods without a signature. On receipt of their invoice for delivery we will take this to mean that delivery has been successfully affected This signed delivery docket is your Proof of Delivery (POD) please ensure that it is properly dealt with, particularly where companies withhold payment until receipt of a signed POD. In the event that this is lost and a customer requires a replacement, this will be provided, where repeated requests are made for POD's due to the failure of a customers own internal paperwork management system, we reserve the right to levy an administration charge of £3.50p per copy.
Sales Policy
- Goods must be paid for before production or delivery will be instigated, except where a customer has a valid approved and within terms; credit account with us. Orders must be supported by a valid order number: Materials are generally made to order and excess materials remain the property of the purchaser, we will not credit or restock mortars, lime washes or paints coloured or otherwise.
- Stock materials such as hydraulic limes may be returned within 14 days of purchase, subject to an assessment of the condition of the goods. Where restocking is possible, the purchaser will be liable for all return transport costs and a re-stocking charge of 25% of the value of the goods will apply.
- When requested to assist in estimating quantities if so directed by the customer, we will not be held responsible for overestimating or underestimating of quantities. This is the sole responsibility of the customer.
- Account customers that have accounts that are not up to date for whatever reason will not be supplied goods by us. A full copy of our trading terms are available upon request:
